Do I need to get paint correction before Ceramic Coating?
Your ceramic coating and PPF will look as good as the paint under it. We advise and do everything possible to get your original paint to best condition. Paintwork correction uses machines called buffers to level out scratches and other defects in the protective clear coat. Depending on the severity of the defects and the softness of the paint, our paintwork technicians will use different combinations of buffing pads and correction products to address the defects to your satisfaction.
Do I need Ceramic Coating?
It depends on how much you care about your car and how much care you want to put into it. Ceramic coating and PPF help to protect your vehicle from all the everyday hazards so the importance of the look of your car and paint is on you. Can I Drive my car after ceramic coating?
Yes, it’s okay to drive your car starting about 24 hours after application. Avoid any water from touching the surfaces of the vehicle for the first 24 hours after application (sprinklers, rain, car washes, etc.)
How often should I wash my car with ceramic coating?
There is no set timeline for how often to wash your car when you have a ceramic coating. We recommend hand washing the vehicle regularly to prevent build-up (every 2-3 weeks.) This helps wash away anything that might eat away at the coating. But we also offer a ceramic coating maintenance wash where our detailing experts use the appropriate products that will ensure the protection and longevity of your ceramic coating. Is a Ceramic Coating better than wax?
There are different levels of what can be applied on your car's paint to protect it and provide shine. Going from bottom to top there is; nothing, wax, synthetic sealant, and ceramic coating. While wax lasts a couple of weeks, ceramic coating can be applied every 5 years. Ceramic coating has more UV resistance, longer/stronger bonding, and has higher chemical resistance. With a wax, it can be washed off every single wash, and then it will need re-applied. Ceramic Coatings can last an extensive amount of washes without having to be re-applied.
Why is another business more expensive than another, or vice versa when installing a Ceramic Coating?
Pricing fluctuates depending on skill, certification, region, prep work, and quality (Consumer Grade vs. Professional Grade). All of our packages include proper prep work, including light paint correction, to make sure your original paint is in the best condition before application.
Can a car be washed in an automatic car wash after PPF or Ceramic Coating?
Yes, you can easily get your car washed at an automatic car wash after PPF but not after Ceramic coating. We advise you to wait at least 48 hours before the PPF application to proceed with any washes. Ceramic coating, on the other hand, requires cleaning products that are PH balanced for ceramic coating.
